A series of targeted attacks led to the deaths of at least 19 people. The attacks came as part of an ongoing cartel dispute in along with also around the capital of the Western state of Michoacán. In one of the attacks, a group of gunmen stormed a house inside October 22 neighborhood, just outside of Morelia, along with also killed four men. Soon after, a group of gunmen kidnapped, tortured along with also killed a man only to dump his body near a river inside San Juanito Itzacuaro neighborhood, also inside outskirts of Morelia.
Authorities found the body of a woman who was kidnapped via Morelia near the Quinceo Hill, inside Lerdo de Tejada neighborhood. Moments later, a group of gunmen targeted a married couple inside San Juanito de Itzacuaro torturing both along with also killing them outside of their home.
The violence moved to some other parts of the city including Libramiento Sur, where a group of gunmen raided a carwash business killing the owner along with also an employee. The attacks continued with several some other assassinations leading to a total of 16 men along with also three women killed.
