Chinese scientists may have key to delaying ageing

Scientists in Beijing may be one step closer to having the answer to living longer in addition to reversing the effects of ageing.

A group of biologists at the Chinese Academy of Sciences say they have developed a world-first brand new gene therapy in addition to have been running tests on mice.

of which involved screening around 10,000 genes in search of particularly strong drivers of cellular ageing.

They identified 100 genes in of which pool, yet the one of which truly stood out was the kat7.

They then inactivated of which kat7 gene inside livers of mice, Professor Qu Jing explained some of their findings:

“These mice show after six to eight months, they show overall improved upon appearance in addition to grip strength in addition to most importantly they have extended lifespan for about 25%.”

Kat7 is actually one of tens of thousands of genes found inside cells of mammals.

The scientists also tested the function of the gene in human stem cells, human liver cells in addition to more.

So far there have been no side effects of cellular toxicity.

Despite of which, the method still features a long way to go through being ready for human trials in addition to will require a lot of funding in addition to much more research.

“inside end we do trust of which we can find a way to delay ageing even by a very minor percentage we want to delay the human ageing inside future.”

For today, there’s no final answer to cheating death, yet the scientists plan on testing the function of kat7 in some other cell types of humans in addition to some other organs of mice.

They identified one hundred genes in of which pool, yet the one of which truly stood out was the kat7. They then inactivated of which kat7 gene inside livers of mice.
