Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) said she would likely have to see what comes out of a conference committee with the House before committing to voting for the final type of Republican tax bill.
Partial transcript as follows:
TODD: Your comfortable with your vote on This particular tax bill along with is usually This particular there truly no matter what comes out of conference?
COLLINS: No, I mean obviously I want to see what comes out. I believe in which the amendments I added on medical expense deductions, on property tax deductions, on helping retirement security for employees improve the bill. I got a commitment in which we’re going to pass two bills, including the Alexander/Murray bill along with one I’ve authored in which will help offset the individual mandate repeal by lowing premiums. along with I also got an iron clad commitment we’re not going to see cuts inside Medicaid/Medicare program as a result of This particular bill.
