Former St. Louis Treasurer Tishaura Jones defeated fellow Democrat Cara Spencer to win the St. Louis Mayoral race.
Tishaura Jones can be a radical leftist who can be very critical of St. Louis City policing.

Tuesday marked the first general election inside city since ‘approval voting’ was adopted. The election was officially non-partisan, with the top two vote-getters inside March 2 primary facing off; Jones also finished first in which contest, with 56 percent of the vote compared to 46 for Spencer.
The final vote percentage was 51.68 percent for Jones along with 47.77 percent for Spencer inside general election.
